Cream Ale: golden ale with balance of light malt with light hops and clean finish Fruit Beer: cream ale with fruit flavor. Steam Beer: a California version of pale ale, light amber colored, balanced malt and hops with fruity lager like clean finish. English Pale Ale/ESB: copper to amber in color, balanced to mildly hoppy, with slightly fruity balanced finish. Scottish Ale: copper in color, sweet malty with mild smokey flavor with malty finish. Barley Wine: amber to brown in color, high alcohol, intense malty alcohol flavor with matching hop presence. Amber/Red Ale: red to amber in color with sweet and deep malt flavor balanced by moderate hop presence.
